i cant help much with the whole tone thing, as i was talked out of buying that amp and ended up with a Vox ad30vt (and havnt stopped GASing for an Orange since, although that shall be no more from tomorrow, providing the money had gone into my bank account) but you just got to keep practising and remember you can get so much more out of your guitar if you use your guitars volume and tone knobs.

that valve amps sale is a little ridiculous. definitely worth it - 200$!? do it...dooooooo iiiittttttt.

Seriously, I so want to myself. $200 for an amp IS ridiculous. SOMEONE should just to rub it in my face.

Despite now solely rocking an Orange, I've owned the Vox AD50vt for around 3 years and would never sell that amp. For a hybrid solid state/valve amp I find it exceptional, with a ton of features. Some amazing tones to be found in that badboy!
