I saw it last night. My wife loved it, but I thought it was just ok. I guess when you hold onto a film idea for 20 years(or however long it was) when you finally make it, the story may seem old or predictable.

As far as the tech at times I thought it looked great and incredibly believable but at times it looked cartoonish.

If you ever complain about your TV setup, then by international law it will come to me. I'm watching movies on my 5 yr-old iMac 17" computer from 15-20 feet away. Haha. I have to squint for everything.
I sympathize with Neil. I just don't have it as bad as he does. I'm watching my movies and playing my games on my 22in Samsung 720p LCD TV (and by all rights this TV is bad***) but I'm watching TV on my 25 year old Samsung 13in tube TV... Samsung make amazing stuff because that 13in TV still has a great picture (for that era) and it still puts out sound!

i saw it in 3D, its absolutely mind blowing. i havent enjoyed a movie so much in years. i really really recommend it highly

its clearly an allegory and strong criticism of american imperialism, which i guess is appropriate for these times.

either way speaking about it just as a film - its a real accomplishment creatively
