My AD30TC Combo

For a while there it would blow a fuse randomly every couple months, but would work perfectly upon replacement....now the fix doesn't work. I get nothing...no sound of any type, not even for a minute...I haven't got a dime to put toward taking this to a tech for a LONG time. :(

Which fuse? Power or output section?

I'd say tech time though. If it's consistently blowing, that's usually a sign that something underlying is wrong.

My AD30HTC was doing the same intermittent blowing of the HT fuse and then I notice that the amp took a while coming out of standby. I'm pretty sure it the rectifier tube was going out so I replaced it. It took care of the standby issue and I'll see how that works for my HT fuses.

A good rectifier valve is worth it. I've got a nice old GE one in mine - never heard a peep out of it.

I found a problem with another guy's AD15 that kept blowing fuses though: his rectifier had gone.

hmm...the problem DID start a couple months after putting in a new rectifier valve...I've still got the old one at my other place, so I guess I'll pick that up and see if that could solve the issue until I can order another replacement...I only replaced because I wanted to do the whole set at one time.

I 2nd the rectifier solution. Mine did the same thing. The EH rectifier it came with started shorting and blowing fuses.

+1 for rectifier tube, had the same thing in my ad30
But I'd really take it to a tech (as I did) to prevent greater damage, even if that means selling something else
