TT power cable question

Hi guys,

I'm about to move from the UK to New Zealand. My TT is already waiting for me in Auckland in fact. I've got a Q about the power supply though.

I'm a total electrical and wires n00b and was wondering if I could snip off the UK plug and rewire on a NZ one or should I use one of those plug adapters / converters or do I need a step down converter.

I'm a bit clueless about it!

Just buy a new cable at any computer/hardware store.
But first make sure there's 230v on the outlets.
