That's personal, I don't like standby switches anyway. Just a switch you have to wait for in my opinion.
I just flip the mains, followed by the standby and I'll just wait 'till I have sound. Nothing ever failed on me and I have been playing for 5 years now...

Not really a big deal on a single EL84 amp.
