I really need your help.
Iv just recently, last week, bought my first Orange product. a 2x12 cab going into a Mesa single rectifier head...
so Iv only recently joined the community here...

Im stuck! I don't know what pedal to get; that will go nicely with my Single Rectifier and my next head Im getting in a few months; an Orange Rocker30.

I play rhythm in a modern rock band who play a genre somewhere between Indie/Emo/Screamo/Metal and wanted 2 pedals to further distort and 'diversitise' my amp during a show.

Iv come up with a shortlist... Opinions would be beautiful!:

Lovepedal Purple Plexi 800
Digitech Hardwire Tube Overdrive
Luther Drive
OCD V1/V2/V3
Maxon 808
TS808
Behringer TO800 (dont write him off... hes a bit of a surprise this one)

Where do you stand?!

RV50 or 100 will solve all of your distortion needs for metal/screamo/whatever you need. Then you can use an overdrive pedal for a lower gain setting for a 3rd channel.

Agree with the Emma Reezafratzitz call.

A good mid gain pedal will also be nice... a Blackstone mosfet would be my preference, but for an uber cheap option, the Dano Cool Cat transparent drive has received great reviews.

The Emma Reeza is really bright and can be fizzy so be warned.

I really like the OCDv4 (newest), v3 had too much lowend. I wouldn't spend my money on any of the others you listed.

Also consider the Barber Direct Drive or Super Sport version or even the Dirty Bomb.

Danelectro Cool Cat Drive pedal. $25. I still love mine, I even contemplated letting my R30 go just to save space. I want to keep it of course, but still, if a $25 pedal can do that to me, imagine what it could do to your act. ;)

MXR Micro amp
MXR Line Driver
SHO
Super-Duper 2 in 1.
Etc, etc...

Clean boost, I think, is the way to go. Push the amp's tubes even harder and take advantage of the natural distortion that occurs.

Oh Yeah? Hahaha, I've had one and it is a great hot-rodded TS style pedal, one of the better ones for sure. But I personally can't say it's the best I've ever heard, but then again I've only tried 50-60 dirt boxes. I still like the Barber stuff better I think.

Currently waiting on an Okko Diablo.

Has anyone tried the Cbread DLS yet?
