My take on a Tiny Terror custom wood head!

Post by libtech » Sat Jul 18, 2009 5:37 pm

Hey guys, I've built a few custom wood heads for the Tiny Terror! I've attempted to make them as accurate as possible; and used high quality parts and all plywood construction. I'm concidering making some for the night train as well (that look like little AC30's) if there is any interest. Thanks for looking! Let me know what you think!

Very, very nice!

How about some vents in the top though?

How much $?

very nice job, but as heat rises I would also have to agree on the addition of vents on the top.

I definately concidered adding a vent, but then after looking at my ad30 with no vents, 4 el84's, less than twice the interior volume, the back being left open with no lip on the top on this cab, and the tt adding a bit of metal on top to act as a 'heat sheild' for a buffer, I was wondering if it was nessisary? I did play with it in the case for ~1hour and the temp was nothing to be concerned about. That being said, I would gladly add anything anyone would want!

I guess I can see that as well, I'm just thinking I'm more worried about it toasting things right above the tubes, but then again, it does have the TT "grate/grill" to move some of the heat away. If you played it for an hour, then it might be worth it as is. :)

Great job either way. :D

That being said, my AD30 combo has (a) an open back and (b) a top vent. Food for thought...
