i got and ad 15/12. well i was sitting it in the back of my truck, and the little metal (aluminum?) pole that the master volume knob sits on top of broke off when i hit it on something. any ideas on what to do about it? call the guys at orange? take it to my guitar shop or try to do it myself? thanks in advance.

If the volume pot is broken then that is all you need to replace.
When you say you hit something, do you mean with the truck and the amp in the back, or just the amp?
Are you sure you didn't hurt anything else?
The volume pot can be replaced easily if you get a matching pot, and know how to solder.

no i just hit it against my guitar case, i didnt lay it down as carefully as usually so the force of it falling snapped it off, the amp works, i just cant change the volume.

Since it's just the volume potentiometer, all you need to do is replace it.
Get a matching one from a electronics supplier. The pot should have a make and number on it.
If it's a common pot no problem, if it's special like Marshall's can have, then you have to buy the special one.
Solder in the new one if you can do it, or get someone to do it for you.
Be careful laying your amp down. Tubes don't like to be jarred.
