I'm gonna say try the BOR with the AC30 because that would be the tone with crunch if they gel together to your ears. If that works for you, then one of those cheap Dano pedals in front for total overdriven loonacy would be an option.
Here we go; three, four...

Pics of the AC30!

I like the Fulltone Robin Trower overdrive with my AC30 running cleanish.

Not bad into a distorted amp either, but with my AD30 I prefer the G2d creamtone.

robin trower od would be enough for ac/dc style crunch but it comes nowhere near to guns n roses, whitesnake etc.

i'm thinking maybe lovepedal purple plexi 800 ?

or crunchbox ?

or catalinbread scod ?

I had an SCOD with my AC30... I didn't like it. It sounded too fizzy and poppy. like 80's thrash fuzz distortion...

You should really try those two Emma pedals, they will do the trick for you. Take it from the guy thats used every box (aside from the purple plexi) in this thread on an AC30...

I would not hesitate to recommend the crunch box for higher gain marshall sounds. It is darn near impossible to beat for those sounds, not to mention cheaper than almost anything you'd be putting it up against. It is a great pedal.

And Billy's played a few OD/Dist. boxes in his day... a few million. :)

Great to see you Billy!

Try the Way Huge fat sandwich. That's what I use for leads and what not and for the money it's an amazing pedal. Your guitar's tone shines through. It can be dialed down or blasted. Analog, True bipass..I swear by Way Huge. Their pedals are the t*ts.
F*ck it, buy everything

really? what version. I had a V2 and a V3 and found it brittle in the top end.

I think I read before that you're not a Fulltone fan, is that right Luke? You've found most of their pedals to be too brittle in the top region? I've never tried them, so I can't speak, just curious.

I picked up an older Marshall drivemaster for under $100 and it does a pretty convincing jcm800. The shredmaster has even more gain on tap but it has a significantly higher selling rate. BYOC makes a shredmaster clone for a bit less though.

The shredmaster will also do that sound incredibly well, though it is a very dark sounding pedal(and hard to dial the darkness out of it). I've heard that the byoc version has fixed that issue in addition to making the gain knob more usable all around. fwiw the (original)shredmaster sounds best with the gain knob nearly all the way up, and at lower gain settings sounds very poor.
