New tele

Post by baker09baker » Sat Jun 20, 2009 6:27 pm

Just picked up a Squier Classic Vibe 50's telecaster after hearing the guys suggest them on here... I went and played one today and had to get it. The thing plays amazing and sounds great and at such a good price. Thanks for suggestions guys.

Congrats !
The CV Telcaster is a sweet guitar. Damn, I don't have the money at the moment to buy one...

I played one at my local shop. When I have extra "rainy day money" lying around, I'm gunna pick one up and slap a white or tortoise shell pickguard on it.
Please, call me Austin.

It's so tempting to swap my MIM Tele for one of those, guh, doubt the 'rents would appreciate that.

These look so freakin nice. There's one at a local music store i played and it beats any real fender within this price range. I just feel like everytime i look at the headstock and see "squire" i might get a little sad. But the fender version of this guitar is more than twice as much :(... i wonder if you can buy fender logos stickers or something to to put on the headstock haha

I have the same setup but with an open back 212. The classic vibe rules! Especially with a nice AD30!

are there any other squier teles to look into? After a few adjustments (tuners, nut, bridge, p-ups) I could see a great stage future for a guitar like this. I'm always looking for a guitar that I could give a beating and not feel guilty. My gibson SG gothic has a cracked neck so I am on the lookout for a replacement.
