Awesome! Love the look of this one.
So glad you did this project - so I could do mine! Thanks again for all the pics and info (shopping list!) so I could do mine. Much appreciated.

I just made DIY footswitch. It works great. Just 1 mono jack, a DPDT switch, 5mm LED, cable, solder. Guess I did it right because it works. The Orange one's have a stereo jack? I wonder why?

Re: Orange Footswitch owners!
I'm going to make a dual foot switch. I notice Orange use a plastic jack socket so that the circuit is isolated from the metal housing. I checked the sockets on the amp and they don't go to ground either (unlike an audio signal wire would). If you make a footswitch I would recommend you don't use the metal Switchcraft type jack socket as these will ground to the metal switch housing. If the pedal housing was to touch something else it would ground the signal loop potentially switching the channel or doing some damage.
I'll post the results when I'm finished.

Forget that dude! I'm adding a mini-toggle to my guitars - or maybe a push-pull pot!blackcloud45 wrote:Oh man, I am pissed! All that big old huge pedal (and waste of pedal board real estate) for that? WTF? I am soooo making my own...

hey folks,
Do you think this footswitch DIY will work fine (include the LED) through the Crush Pix 35DLX?

Re: Orange Footswitch owners!
I have the Orange single footswitch and the Crush 30R. It switches on the amp's Overdrive mode just fine but the LED does not work as intended with the big Oranges. When the Overdrive mode is off, the LED pulsates along with the pick attack (like a clipping diode), but it stops altogether in Overdrive mode. It's not like it's hard to hear which mode it's in though.RafaMoraes wrote:hey folks,

I see.. but and what about the DIY footswitch? Will this happen the same way? Probably yes... I really want to know why this happen, and a way to overcome this problem with the LED on the smaller Oranges.Randy Bass wrote:I have the Orange single footswitch and the Crush 30R.
