Has someone experience with ENGL Thunder?

I connect my guitar to my MacBook using GuitarRig then through my TT/ppc112 V30. I was surprised of the sound at first, but after a few days playing with my "new" setup, I realized that I still have those TT nasty mids freqs that cannot get rid off (even with an EQ).
I'm looking for a high gain sound, kinda 'Disturbed', but my lovely TT cannot go there (EL84??). I'm gassing for Rocker 30, but I'm thinking that I'll get more metal tones with an ENGL amp. I've heard in YouTube some demos of ENGL Thunder 50. Has someone experience with that amp? or the Rocker 30 can do almost the same? thanks guys.
