Has a thing on it, that says something like "Hum bla bla". (I'm too lazy to go downstairs and look......) Hum reducer or something

Does this work? and which way do i turn it.........

Sweet, I may have a little play with it tomorrow. Didn't want to just touch it without checking i wasn't going to ruin my amp!
