well for 1, modern metal tones sound like crap mostly. I think it would be refreshing to hear a "modern metal band" use something like a TT. There is no harm in being different.

My old band always gave me a hard time because I was using a RV100 in their (metal/hardcore/melodic) band. I though the tone was wicked and fit in well, but they always bothered me about it.

IMO, metal/hxc bands always use way too much gain, and when listening live it just sounds like a wall of fuzz.

I wonder if the Tiny Terror combo can play METAL???

What are you guys using out there to get the Metal sound???

Is It enough with a boost pedal?

I see that Rob Chappers usees the MXR boost pedal on youtube playing metal.

Is it prefered with analog boost pedals since you use a tube amp?

I see someone turns down the gain on the amp and use distortion pedals, I cant see that be right because you dont use the tube distortion then….am I right or wrong here???

When it comes to effects like delay/reverb is it recommended with analog or digital, I got the Boss RE-5 and DD-7.

Thanks:)

Hi there
I've got the TT combo & Les Paul
I just bought the Electro-Harmonix Metal Muff with Top Boost pedal
and it is grandé!

EHX make 3 variations of this pedal
There's a Micro version and a Pocket version as well as the full one
ALL give you great scooped metal sounds and more
but the full version has more EQ and range of sounds, top boost for solos
I can get ANY driven sound now with this pedal and amp / guitar combi
cheers Neilmac
