Hello all!

First post here, so I'll give you a little background. My name is Joe Bochar, and I build guitars. A few days ago my friend brought over his new toy: a Tiny Terror Handwired head. We plugged a few guitars into it and just loved the sound coming out of it. About a hundred chords later, we miked up the cab & started recording audio clips for my website. I contacted Orange Amps just to say how much this amp rocked, and the rep suggested to post something on this forum... and here we are.

Orange Rockerverb 50

Had a chance to use my recently acquired Rockerverb 50, just retubed with JJ’s, for the first time in a gig situation last weekend. Running with a Marshall 1960A cab G12t-75 speakers. Mic’d up with a Senn E609 into a Mackie board then out to a portable 8 track Zoom recorder. Mixed down in Cubase.

Only effects are a Keeley 2 knob comp with sustain set at 9 o’clock and some reverb added in Cubase to liven things up. Amp settings, vol 6, treble 4, mid 5, bass 4, gain 5.5. ’99 Gibson LP Classic with Duncan JB bridge position.

Disclaimer, please excuse the clams/slop and I don’t play note for note, I wing it, drinks also start creeping up by the second set!

can someone post a demo of the orange rocker 30 with a telecaster and play some stuff thats not so hi-gain, more like 70s rock style stuff?

Leonc, I was wondering what settings you used for the Hendrix clips? I have an American Standard Stratocaster with Fender Custom 69 Neck and Mid, and a Seymour Duncan APS-1 (vintage voiced). Does anyone have any reccomendations for settings? I play through a Rockerverb 50 head and 4x12 cab.

funny 100% band jam with my rocker 30. not the usual sound that you would expect from an orange rocker 30.
it's more or less psychedelic rock.

This is high gain goodness from my AD30htc. I can't believe that someone said this amp can't be used for metal/high gain punk. I may have the amp cranked but it sounds pretty good imo. It's a cover of Blues Singer by Some Girls.
