If I were out for a new Strat, I would definately buy one of the classic vibe stratocasters !
I played one in the shop (the one with the maple neck and lake placid blue finish) and it was very well made. good craftsmanship ! flawless finish, really chunky neck, good working tuners.
And it sounded like a strat should sound !!!
Fix the the setup to your taste, maybe buy some used US-Made Pickups at eBay or somewhere else and you're done ! Maybe change the pots for better ones or the 5-way switch if theres a need to.
Compared to a fender mexico standard strat...the classic vibe out of the box is the better guitar for the money
The white classic vibe strat reminds me of his strat:

My experience has been that they sell out in days. I kept going back to try one out and three or four would come in on, say, Friday. They'd be gone Saturday afternoon.Neiloler wrote:Yeah, seriously, that's the toughest part about this. You'd think stores would be more into selling these: cheap and they are rumored to actually play well, unlike some of the junk out there (Squier stuff very much included, ever play a Bullet guitar? )
