New Orange high gain amplifier head
This is a 'what if' idea about Orange entering the high gain amp market. I would like to start off this proposed idea by suggesting the classic OR120 as a basis to start from to create a high gain model utilizing multiple gain stages. Feel free to speculate and share your ideas. It would be cool if Orange were to add a model like this to they're line to compete with other high gain amp companies.

I absolutely love the signature sound that Orange amplifiers have. I just hear on other music forums sometimes that people say that Orange amps can't do metal or are not high gain enough. This just got me wondering about an Orange amp that still has the signature sound but with even more gain for those guitarists that seem to want an insane amount of gain on tap. I for one am satisfied with all the models that Orange has to offer.Norrin Radd wrote:Seems to me the TVs and RVs already have enough gain - how could you possible need more? I think what you're after is a different voicing altogether - and that's just not Orange, IMO.

I believe it would sell like Hot Oranges! Probably better than any current model.....Wicked_Tone wrote:That would be cool! I like the model name you came up with.Drdos wrote:I say it should be based on the TT design with 3 channels.
1. Clean
2. Dirty
3. Uber Nasty

I know what your saying, but they already have amps like the novelty Orange Mini Crush it's not like the image would be tarnished anymore by coming out with a Very Popular amp to the masses, but they would go down the path of Marshall/Fender and the like....Joey22 wrote:I don't think they should...Orange should be Orange...They don't have to compete in all areas...I mean should they make a clean amp? A dumble clone? Just my opinion. Although I do realize what you're saying.
