OT:My Greatest mentor, friend and driving force just passed

Post by notagain » Sun Mar 22, 2009 10:00 pm

Just wanted to take this opportunity to thank and honor the greatest man I have ever known...My father...he passed away Wednesday approx at 2:30.
No pain, peaceful. He was 86. Taught math for 45 years, had more friends that anyone can count...I only hope I am just a little bit like him!

:( :( :(

Mark, there is so little one can say at these times. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. All I can say is that when I lost my father just over two years ago, I knew that inside I still had him as mentor and teacher of high moral values. I carry that with me everywhere and he lives on in me as your father will too in you.

Peace.

I really don't know what I should say in this situation... other than I feel for your loss and hope that he is remembered proudly.

Sorry to hear this sad news, but you obviously have a lot of love and are very proud of your father and rightly so, it's great that you can say that very openly. May peace and happiness be with you all.

My condolences, mate. Fortunately, he seems to have changed those who met him for the better, and that's where he'll still be alive at all times.

Very sorry to hear it, Mark. My best wishes go to you and your family.

Can't say I "know" you, but in this forum world you seem to be one of the "good guys". :)

With that said, I'm inclined to think that you're a stand-up guy in large part because of who your dad was, and in that way, he'll always be around in spirit.
