Well, let's just say that it's "sturdy enough". It's not a PedalTrain Jr., but then it didn't cost $100 + shipping, either.
I have one of these IKEA Gorm shelves in my garage, and they are surprisingly sturdy. But then they're just statically holding on to heavy boxes for years on end, not being slightly flexed on a daily basis.
I added a stabilizing wood strip to the underside of the board, and I think it'll help. Won't know for sure until it's 2015!

I wish I had room in my practice corner to have the pedalboard sitting just in front of the cab, but alas, I'll need a bigger house for that.

Ha! When I took some of these photos, I was trying out a NOS 4024 tube in V1. I've got a 5751 in V2, and the two sound nice 'n chimey (in a TT sort of way) together.
Hence, the nakedness of my Tiny Terror.

This was definitely a low-budget build. If I exclude small tools and items that I can use for other projects, here's what I spent on this build:
IKEA Gorm shelf + 2 extenders + 4 bolts = $8.00
1 can of orange Rustoleum spray paint = $3.50
1 box of industrial strength velcro, 15 feet (with about half left over) = ($30.00 / 2) = $15.00
2 boxes of white rubber screw-on bumpers = $5.00
4 tin washers = $0.40
1 power strip 'Liberator' (mini extension cord) for my EHX 24-volt adapter = $3.45
5 black zip ties (I had to sacrifice 2 midway through the build) = $1.00
============================
TOTAL COST OF PARTS = $36.35
============================
All the other parts & tools (Gorilla glue, razor blades, rubber cutting pads, metal straight edges, power strip, 1 Spot adapter w/ 5 connector extension) I already had on hand.
