We have it up and running at the shop...I dont have anything to do with it YET...but can tell you this...we did a bunch of guitars that played like dodo and was done over & over by hand to fix them...one run on the Plek..and bam they play like Tom Anderson guitars..KILLER.
you still need to do some hand work, but very min. It also cuts perfect Nuts...some guitars need to have a few frets replaced for optimum set up, and some neck are warped and cant be done, and the machine will tell you that, insted of waisteing your time..
I am having the boys do my 69 relic strat on sat...
When I start up my new guitar company next year...all my guiatrs will be Plek'ed..the name of the new guitar line will be ..Marz Guitars...Tele's & strats Only...

Its a CNC computer machine, that reads evry fret on the neck..then dress's them perfect..it does a perfect fret dress in about 1 hour..
but it also tells you about each fret, and the neck itself...even tells you if the nut is right..
It really helps you find problems with the full neck..truss rod, frets, nut, even the space between each string..

Very cool Corky. What's the going rate to have a guitar PLEK'd? If I built a Warmoth and sent it to you, would that be cool? And how would it do with the compound radius fretboard?

I'm not sure how my wife is gonna react when I say, "Honey, I need a large wad of dough so I can go get plekked!"

Corky, just realized that 916 area code sounded familiar! Where is your shop? I live in the valley too.
