Anyone have a preference on this? Gotoh? Sperzel? Planet Waves?

I just picked up a set of sperzel tuners to put on my Jackson that I use in place of a strat since it has a 5 way switch. I guess I will know if they work in a few days when I put them on. They better be good, they cost almost 80 bucks. Would be interested to hear what experience others have had with these and other locking tuners.
2 tiny terrors,Krank rev jr,pacific woodworks 412, 4 theile ported 112's w/ 25 watt greenbacks, Crate power block, Framptone 3 banger,85 explorer, jackson strat, jay turser semi hollow, custom tele, bad horsie wah, ibanez sound tank delay, member #15 Tiny Terror club
I really liked the Schaller mini locking tuners I had on my old Warmoth strat, thought they did an excellent job: http://www.warmoth.com/Schaller-Mini-Lo ... -C726.aspx

I agree with the Schaller out of those 3.
I personally have used Grovers on all my guitars up to my LP. I love the Grovers because they don't slip as much as tuners you 'clamp down' like the Schaller and planet waves.
The Planet Wave's ones were a set of tuners I'll never buy again, nor do I recomend them to anyone... the problem is I like to get at least a 3/4 wind out of my tuners for string tension and stability... the PW's don't let you do that because they trim the strings for you.
Personally... my new fav is PRS Phase II's LOVE THEM!

<br />Pretty sure my Jeff Beck has Schallers...with a roller nut.

I believe so, as well. The Fender(Schaller) lockings will fit most Modern-type Strats ,and will fit the pilot holes as well.
Take one off first and eyeball the mounting arrangement.
Unfortunately, if you have a Vintage-style Strat with Kluson-Type , you will have to do some drilling.
