Just put new ones in and one has an orange light at the top and the other one doesn't. My Rocker 30 is in standby right now. I don't want to turn it on and screw anything up. Is this ok?

It could be fine even though it doesn't light up.

Well...I turned it on and the one lit up power tube turned blue and there was a loud humming sound...I think I'm screwed...

Sounds like you got shipped a bad set of tubes.
Unfortunately not uncommon.
Best bet is to return and get a new pair.

Yeah, tubes are unpredictable little b@stard$. I hate them, yet love them so much.

At least the new preamp tubes work. I had 2 Orange tubes and an EH tube in there before. Now I have a Tung Sol and 2 EH's. Big sound difference. Much brighter. Thinner overall but clearer on the high end. You can play more complex chords with gain and the high strings really ring out. Those Orange tubes had a lot more grind. Almost sounds like a different amp now.
