There is a price on a UK site now - its basically the same price as a TT.
I can see a few good things about this Vox - a proper EQ for one. The handle is better too, and it comes with a speaker cable (and probably a manual, but lets not get started on that again)
Its basically a head version (minus reverb+tremolo) of an AC15 is it not? if it is, then playing it with a TT bi-amped would be absolutely awesome.
I imagine it has more headroom than a TT, but less aggressive+awesome gain. Headroom would win it for me between the 2 i think, although the TT looks way cooler.

it is in fact the same tube configuration as the AC15, something they mentioned in their description of it somewhere. personally, i think it looks fxcking ridic (and chronicles of it), but i do need a practice amp. and considering that the tiny terror looks pretty damned gay too, and that was pretty much the only other amp i was considering for a small amp, i suppose i'll be testing both of these out and choosing the one that sounds better, and then gutting it and building it into a better looking cabinet.
also, phil, the tiny terror has a 3-stage gain circuit. this only has two, so i'd imagine it's not as gainy.

I think i'm gonna try one, when they hit the stores. If it actually is less gain orientated as the TT, i might be in the market for one.
Wait and see....

Well, the demo showed it has lots of gain on tap...
But it still has a different tone than the TT.
Sounded brighter IMO.
Still want to take it for a spin....

Didn't I read here that the TT was based on the old AC15 style circuit anyway? and these are like the wem dominator and they are all "similar" to a point.
I'm not that techyfied to know the ac15 on dominator, any old hands able to confirm or dispell before it becomes internet 'fact'

Here we go; three, four...
Looks junky compared to the TT though...

couldn't disagree more...
the TT looks cheap and cheerful - - like it was designed for students
the night train looks like some thought went into it
but either way - - how it sounds is to me a tad more important than aesthetics... - - personally i hope it sounds nothing like an orange so i can bi-amp it ....WITH an orange

thanks linoleum - - in threads like these it is good to be reminded of those who actually sat down and gave some critical thought to design - - taking into account not only aesthetics, but functionality
whether it be a toaster, or a retro-constructivist diner...
it's nice to see that somebody actually cared
as opposed to ... say... the guy that brainstormed "a cheap white metal box with holes in it"
