I'm looking at an Orange cab(4x12) for sale but its a little odd...
First, The grill-cloth is black instead of tan. Second, The orange logo found in the center of the front is written in blocky upper-case letters...Does anyone know when this was made? I thought maybe it was a Gibson reissue or something but I can't find any info anywhere...Any help is appreciated!

Don't know man, but here's one on ebay that matches your description, and is advertised as being "'70s". And if that isn't enough for you, it's also signed by CC Deville of Poison, everyone's favorite...

I think its a orange one...it has the gold piping, i only know orange always uses this gold piping....so it should be an original one.....

Why is an ORANGE, orange? If it would be Green it would be an apple....

Definitely *not* a Gibson reissue cab. It's a 70s model cab but it looks like a bass cab. Don't buy it without seeing a pic of the back of those "Celestion" speakers. I've never, ever seen a Celestion with a voice coil like that. JBL, Altec, PV, Utah, Radio Shack, yes; Celestion, no. I could be wrong, but I wouldn't believe they were Celestions without proof. They should say Celestion on the back. If you get the cab & the speakers have no markings or labels identifying them, & you don't like the sound & you discover they aren't Celestions, you're out of luck. All the seller has to say is: hey! the dude who sold it to me told me they were Celestions.
If you want the cab, I'd say get it & replace the speakers with what *you* want anyway.

Don't know how to edit my previous post so I'm posting this as a supplement.
You can see a cab that looks like this one here at the Orange website. It's a bass cab loaded with 4x10s. If I were a betting man, I'd bet that's what this really is.

its an original late 70's, maybe even early 80s, series II 4x12 cab. You can tell by the different font. check out geert's page: http://www.geocities.com/geertjacobs/orange_page.htm

click on series II and check out the font on the head.

the black grill-cloth is original as well.
