<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>hey there! Last April I bought a 120watt all valve Orange Overdrive Series Two head which I love to bits but I'd love to know anything about its age/origins. The Model number is : OR120M and the serial number is :016236. I'm a little confused as all the oranges I've seen around are different to mine. The "orange" logo is in a different lettering style. The carrying bars on the front are black and square as opposed to the chrome pipes that appear on others. Also it the only controls it has are Gain, Bass, Treble, Presence, Contour & Master Volume. It doesn't carry the funky logos like the arrows hitting the mountains above the controls. It has no effects loop bit! It has two imputs; bright and normal, an on/off switch and a standby switch. It also has a seperate europlug/kettlelead connection. Did this amp ever exist? Is it a real Orange? It weighs a bloody ton and the tolex is sparkling (well as sparkling as old tolex can be!) If anyone knows anything about this model and its production dates I'd love to hear from you!
Oh and just a couple of other things, anyone know where I could get my hands on an old orange 4x12 cab? Hopefully not too expensive! I'm currently using it through a Marshall but it just doesn't seem right! Maybe I'm a perfectionist! And last but not least, REVERB, my amp doesn't have any. As far as I'm aware no oranges have reverb, so what do I do to get that creamy Peter Green reverb sound? Anyone recommend any good pedals??? Do Orange make their own?
Well I've bored you enough!
KEEP ROCKING!!!!
