But it's got no feeling! I'm I the only one unimpressed with this sort of bland muso thing? Where's the excitement? Where's the risk? It's just notes with no point, no feeling, no emotional connection... go into any guitar store in the world and you'll hear dozens of guys and girls doing that sort of thing. Sure, she can play some notes but then what? Why's it up on youtube? Seems pointles.

Exactly what I thought!! So what, I can hear that anywhere. Soul makes a guitar player. It was good listening, but un-exciteful to watch.

Interesting variety of opinions.
For my part, yeah it may not be risky, it may not be a stunningly visual thing, but I thought the kid has a really relaxed style and a nice sound, and I am with the guys who wish their chops were as good as hers.......
Sure she is no budding hendrix, beck, vai or orianthi ....just a young korean lass doing her thing, and hats off to her.

Aint that what playing the guitar is all about ???

I think with a slight attitude adjustment she can already wipe the
floor with Angus!

i think shes great, i really don't think she needs to jump around like a cat with her tail on fire or anything. yeah stage presence is fun, but watching her play really made me pay attention, i guess if you dont really suck you dont have to act like a fool, but the fool shtick always works well anyway, just look at Kiss or GG Allen, this bastard rolled around in broken glass and did thing's i cant even begin to mention on this forum. it would be cool if she played like that and rolled around in broken glass, awesome. :D

I think that a lot of that track could sound great as a rhythm track. And if you slap a slightly distorted (Preferably Orange) guitar solo over that it would sound wicked. Or of you put vocals either way I thought it was a good listen.
i dont think the guitar track was actually recorded with the video... i think she played it and they dubbed it over. thats what it looks like to me. but she does have some crazy skill with a fretboard, daaang.

Nah not for me...soul-less ball-less mediocrity....SRV could technically play circles around her AND with more heart, as can most proper guitarists, yourselves included. This is just particulary bland guitar, like most of the stuff I see coming out of "youtube guitar heroes". I'm inclined to agree with the nay-sayers on this one. I just picked out the solo in like 5 minutes, just major blues with a couple passing tones and some standard stale licks.
