I've been GASing for a new amp for a while, since my metal band started gigging, and thinking I need something a little more "metal" sounding than my TT.

I tried a Rocker 30 last week, and it sounded great, but still more of a rock-sounding amp to me.

My local store got a Rockerverb 50 head in for me to try. It arrived today so I went down there at lunchtime and it just blew me away. What a sweet-sounding amp!

So, a bit of haggling and whatnot to get nearer the price I could find online, and I flexed my credit card.

I'm picking it up tonight, first time I'll get to crank it is at rehearsal tomorrow night... how excited am I?! :D

Of course we will be requiring pics :P

Congrats though! Its an amazing amp even when you feel like playing anything other than metal.

That's one of the (many) things that swung it for me: turning the gain down a bit gave me a great sound for the rock band I'm in too :)

Hey blackcloud, how do I go about joining the cartel and getting a logo?

Also, would that mean I have to leave the Tiny Terror club? :)

You can have both, but then you also have to join the 'Unnecessarily Cluttered Sig Club' :D

Just kidding of course - congrats on the new amp, hope it works out for you! :)

It IS the best amp ever! Just right click or ctrl click on the logo and save it to your computer. It's just a JPEG.

Joining the cartel is easy. Getting out, well........[:0]

Well, since I've just sold the TT to the bass player from my metal band, I guess I'll just be in the cartel ;)

Right, so that's my sig sorted until I can get a new picture :)

Any advice on the best solo boost to use with the new amp? I used a DS-1 with the TT...

RC Boost in the loop....you'll get a true volume boost that way.

Yup. Works great.

I use a SD Pickup Booster or a Zvex SHO - they both work well also.

The guitarist in the band we supported on Saturday night just used an EQ pedal, set to boost the mids (he had it in an inverted V shape).

Just been looking at the MXR 6-band pedal... anyone got any thoughts on that?

Bump... anyone? Thoughts on MXR EQ pedals? Or perhaps a Micro-Amp?
