buying a 4x12

ok i think im gonna do the dark deed and go to guitar center and buy one of the orange 4x12 from there just because im to impatient to find one on craigs list. the one they have there is $800. and im gonna ask them to knock of some. how much should i ask em to knock off the most i can pay is 700 but i wanna get it for cheaper.

Is it used? Ask for another $100 off. If it's new, you're already getting a bargain at $800.

They are selling on craigslist up here for $50.00 more than what you would be paying new, so that isn't too bad of a deal.

i'd pay 800 in an instant. if you can do 700 you've REALLY got a deal

it's gotta be used, unless i'm wrong and g.c. is now an orange dealer. do what greg said.

I'd try to talk them down a tad bit more. But if it's in new condition take it. And vintage looking Oranges are bad ass.

It has to be used because GC is not an Orange dealer, so check the condition and keep that as your argument:

"Well I can just go buy a brand new one for this same price at an Orange dealership, I'll do 700." That's if it's in good condition... If it's in used/slightly damaged condition, use the same argument and shoot for something around 600 and let them argue it up to 650 or 675.

$800 is what you pay for an Orange 2x12 in Sweden.

Other examples:

TT w/112 = $712
Fender Stratocaster = $1200
Fender Twin Reverb = $1800
Gibson Les Paul = $2600
Mesa Dual Rectifier = $3000
Ampeg SVT-VR w/ 810 = $5200

David, I don't thin kyou will be able to get the cab for $700, but if you can grab it for $750 that might be possible.

ok thx guys. i know in a store its not a bad price. but ive seen orange 4x12s sell for 500 on craigs list but im getting realy impatient ive been waiting to get a cab to play my ad140 thru since july
