So I took my hifi amp to the tech today and it didn't require any repairs. He sprayed away some oxide and the 25 year old amp was as good as new, which saves me a great deal of money since I was prepared for repairs..

I'm leaning towards getting a new neck for my strat as I mentioned in another thread. It's going to be custombuilt, so I can have any headstock shape as I want.
I love large headstocks, so it's going to be something big.
Also I want all six strings to align up straight and nice from the nut to the tuners, and to achieve both my wishes I think I will have to have a 3+3 tuner setup. 3 tuners up, 3 down, i.e. on a Gibson Les Paul etc.

Example of this:

It might not look as straight as they really are, but looking from above, they are..

So I'm asking you, if you have any tips?
Have you seen any cool headstocks that are real chunky and looks cool?

Check out the head stock on this bass. That's one huge, cool looking head stock. Just so you get the idea of how I like it.

I think the ole tilt back, non-reverse firebird headstock is pretty cool. Not 3 & 3 but does have straight string pull.

Yeah, me too, it's like something out of a Dr. Suess book or something. Very cool. Picaso would be proud.

Yeah, that head is cool. But it feels like it should fit a bass better than a guitar..
