I started the thread about delays and then started thinking -- I'm really looking for something more to get spacey, strange, experimental electric ladyland/Pink Floyd/Radiohead type stuff...right now I've got an EH Memory Man, a Vox Wah, and a MXR Phase 90. I'm planning on getting one of the delays you guys suggested on the other thread (probably a Line 6 or a Boss) as well as a Univibe type pedal....

Any other recommendations for crazy sounds out of my amp? And those that color the sound the least or not at all are what I'm most interested in.

Chris

I checked out the space echo -- but I'm leary to get a used one and would probably go with something like a Tube Tape Echo first....although I don't like the tape-cartidge type stuff either.

check out 4ms pedals... they have some whackey stuff. Also, electro harmonix. The line 6 fm4 is a reeeally whacky one, but very cool and organic sounding. I think there are some sound samples on musiciansfriend.com. Also, check out tonefrenzy.com and proguitar.de for samples of other stuff.

space echoes are great, i love mine. The TTE is probably even better. Should be for the dough. The whammy is also a good suggestion. I'd also suggest an EHX microsynth or a nice octave divider.

I just wonder if the TTE has as much modulation as the Space Echo?

Probably not but I havent played it either so I may be wrong. Too expensive. The best way to get weird sounds is to be innvoative. Dont put you effects in the correct order or just learn how to play in a strange way.
