I played a Nocaster, which I think is my favourite Telecaster.

I want a '62 RI in 3-tone sunburst. That would be my be all and end all of guitars. I didn't like the hotrod because of the neck.

Tele, but Thinline/Bluesboy style. Gotta love that not-quite-Fender-not-quite-Gibson tone.

I keep coming back to my pair of late 90s American Standard Teles, they're not fancy, they're workhorses... but for me everything is just right on those guitars. I love the thinner neck, feels just right to my hands, and I love the Rio Grande Muy Grande sets I have in both of them. I like the tuners, the string-through-body design, the easily adjusted saddles... everything is great for me. Most other guitars seem to have little design flaws or quirks that I live with, like tunomatic bridges falling off when you restring etc... the Tele just gets it all right.

I love all my different guitars, and I'd love to own some really top notch stuff one day, but these will always be my favourite gigging guitars I think. I wouldn't take anything more precious on the road, the way I treat my guitars live would not go well with anything more expensive!

Yes it is! Good eye!

It's fretless for slide and covered with black leather instead of paint... sounds great.
