The hairy orange creature broke cover from the dense jungle and, striding confidently on two legs, paused briefly in the clearing to look directly at the British woman 200 yards away.

That was what Debbie Martyr says she saw after a five-year search for the mythical orang pendek, a primate which some suspect could provide the missing link in the evolution of man.
