The other day I was at Guitar Center getting some new saddles for my Telecaster project, and decided to take a stab at some new acoustic strings.

I bought a pack of the D'Addario EXP Coated 80/20 bronze strings in 10s. And while I'm hesitant to immediately sing their praises - since they have "worn in" yet, and are still adjusting to the guitar (I put them on last night) - I am totally in love with these strings. They make my guitar (a Martin 16GT) reallllly sing. It's ALMOST as if I was playing an electric. ALMOST. At least, as close as I've gotten.

So, if anyone is in an acoustic string rut, and hasn't tried these EXPs, I highly recommend them. Hopefully I don't end up eating my words, but I'm pretty confident these are my new acoustic strings of preference.
