Has anyone done it or heard of someone that has? I'm just curious, i have no intentions of modding my rockerverb because i love it in many ways, just interested to see if anyone has and what has been done.
Love, Seth.

I have never heard of anyone modding them, and I think there would be some limitations because it is a PCB amp. There is an orange site you can find if you search on google that talks about all the different orange amp mods, but there aren't any for the RV50 as I remember.

If you consider changing the treble cap in the clean channel a mod, then I have done it. I wanted a little more sparkle from the clean channel. That amp is perfect, I can't imagine doing a full scale mod of some sort.

I think that PCBs aren't that hard to mod anyhow, just a bit tricky to get out. I wouldn't touch it anyhow, if you like it, then like it. ;) Unless it's out of warranty...then go to town! :D

Yeah Jack, tell us what you did again, I know you have talked about it before.

I wouldn't mind a bit more sparkle, and a little less headroom actually. Yes less. Ade talked about a change in the circuit a couple years ago that gave the RV50 clean channel more headroom.
I'de like to go back to the original value.

I'de also love to hear how the dirty channel sounded with all Sozo caps of the same values.

The stock value of the treble cap in the clean channel was 56pf. I changed mine to 250pf, gives it a bit more Fender Deluxe flair.

That's a pretty big change isn't it? Did/do you detect any harshness?

Do you happen to know what component number that was? I'll have to inspect my board tonight.

It should be C35. If I knew how to post pics I could show what the change does using the Duncan Tone Stack Calculator. I like the change, but you certainly can select a smaller value to start, maybe 120pf and see if you like it. Send me your email and I can send you some graphs.

My Rockerverb 50 MKII was biased at 70% from the factory. I now have it at around 60% which I prefer.

+1, I've done all sorts of "mods" to my RV50 without any major surgery. Biasing, removed the aluminum tube shield and bases, don't use a reverb at7 driver at all.

My tech would charge a fortune for a mod like that  .
