patience pays off my friend. for your sake, i hope he doesn't realize what he is giving up and back down. good luck.
mine is a '71 (i think, no one knows for sure). it has a plexi face panel (note the 4 bolts around the face panel) instead of the usual metal face panel that most oranges have. my head has similar characteristics to an Orange/Matamp head (4 bolt design on the faceplate, some of the knobs are the same, etc) but since its just an Orange, some people think its the first Orange head design after the matamp split. since its believed that orange and matamp split in 1970 or 1971, this amp was probably made in late 1971. but again, these things are near impossible to date. maybe you'll get lucky and the inspection tag will still be inside your head, and then you'll know for sure what year it is.
definitely post some pictures when you get it. is it an or80 or or120?
