Things come in threes. For example, my bass player Kats, took a header into my fireplace on my Boxing Day party that I have for everyone in my bands. Who knew he hadn't stood up for hours and had a thritypack next to him? That was one...
Last week, we had a rehearsal for our gig this Friday. He showed up to practice and locked his keys in his truck... along with his amp, bass, and spare keys. We had to call AAA. That's two...
This past Monday, our soundman and I were talking and he says "If things come in threes, what's next and when?" I called him Tuesday afternoon and left a message on his voicemail "You called it..." Apparently, at work, the machine he was working on slipped and he accidentally drilled through his left thumb with a drill press. Missed everything more or less but his hand has a baseball glove look to it due to swelling. That's three...
He says he can do the gig tomorrow night so this should be interesting...
More later...

Every band has their Keith Moon, and Katsie is ours. At least when you shoot the "Claire glare" across the stage at the two of us, chances are it will be aimed at him.
Note from Frank: The "Claire glare" is the dreaded look we get from Bill when he hears someone screwing up.

With any luck, he won't spontaneously explode in a ball of fire like Spinal Tap's last drummer !!!

Not so dramatic, but my bass player has gotten a knife stuck into his hand, and he can't play for a week! it's kinda bad, because we have a gig in two weeks

Well, I'd say it's not dramatic as long as it wasn't someone else that stuck him!

In a drunken escapade with a fast closing door I managed to break the tip of my left hand middle finger 2 weeks before bass proficiency exams at Berklee, somehow I passed.
