Recently I just have stopped picking up my other guitars and always reach for my customshop. It just feels, plays and sounds so great that anything else at the moment just doesnt feel right. Actually its a shame cos I do like my tele and its quite versatile for our set, but I just plain prefer playing the other. In one way its good to have an instrument that feels right, but part of the enjoyment of playing guitar is owning them. Right now I cant think of anything else that would live up to it. Wierd to become so attached to one axe.

Nothing wrong with that. Many folks just use one guitar.

Absolutely right. There's always the "main" guitar that will work for you in any situation.
Just enjoy, but don't neglect the others too much. ;)

LOL!

Yeah - I've actually been whittling down the collection over the last few years. In about 12 months I will be down to 2 players - a Strat and a Tele. Never could have predicted that 30 years ago. Wish I could have - would have saved me lots of hassle!

I only need 1 guitar as well. My tele is my workhorse. I might pick up a JM Sig strat someday though...

yeah it does make a lot of sense to know the dynamics of your main guitar to pull it out at any given moment. I always thought a second one was a good policy for live situations. The joy of 'ownership' and the collector in me makes me want to try something else but there's not much point fixing something that aint broke:D

I am down from 32 to 15 so I am getting there.
I love all the ones I have left and I play all of
them...I really would like to get around 7 or 8.

(and yes, in many ways I am very lucky)

I had three guitars at one point, but I really only played my SG...I think one more SG, a Tele, and another Strat, and I'll be set (it seems a bit excessive when one says it like that). :D

I'm hopin to get a nice Tele or Strat someday that'll become my main geet, but the PRS is definitely leaving me satisfied for now.

I usually opt for my Jazzmaster, but sometimes if I'm feeling uninspired it's good to have another guitar to change things up and hopefully inspire a new sound.

Man, I love SG's. I tried to get into Strats, and I did for a while, but for distorted sounds...nothing will beat it for me.
