The orange site states that the Reverbrocker 50 has 2 6V6 for the output tubes. I thought it had EL34's!

For accuracy, I will mention that the RV50 has 4 x 6V6's not two.

That seems wierd to me because the R30 uses EL34's (25 watts max disapation per tube)for 30 watts and 6V6's in the RV50 for 50 watts(12 watts max disapation per tube which equals 50 watts).

Erm isnt this because the 30 is class A, the 50 class A/B?

Instead of having the RV50 be a half-strength version of the RV100 they chose to use different powertubes to give it a different sound.

The 6V6s are found only in a few amps.

Nope, the Rocker 30 isn't class A, it's A/B as it's got a phase inverter tube in it, thus the power tubes are in push pull config.

Those are maxima. Whether an amp will ever use that potential depends on a lot of other things than just the valves. Like the whole power amp circuit design basically. But you can run the valves at any power below that maximum you like! ;)

Yeah, isnt it a push pull amp that has been biased to be class a to give it lots of nice crossover distorion, or is my brain failing me?

i thought that a tubes dissipation referred to heat and had nothing to do with power output at all
