Been toying with a Swollen Pickle lately - so good fuzz and distortion in there - though I think I may end up using it as smooth fuzz rythm/crazy leads type things. I love how it makes high notes and bend sounds almost out of control!!!
I think that sums up the Orange AD experience pretty well. When I first got my AD15 I used an MXR Micro Amp and then a Rangermaster clone in front of it almost exclusively. It was quite the revelation for me how such a simple set-up could sound so good. I've said it before, the AD15 (and for all intents and purposes the single channel AD30 & AD50) are one-trick-ponies - but what a trick! :D

Ade

You're quite right.
I love my RV50, but the simplicity of the AD15 is mesmerising. All you really need is a boost of some sort, all the rest is superfluous. Superfluous but nice...... ;)

Has the AD50 got an FX loop? Does it take your delay nicely too?

No, no FX loop. The delay sounds fine to me straight in the front. I read people carrying on about the need for FX loops and I'm sure for some they're essential, I'm afraid I'm just not discerning enough. A decade ago my main amp (before the AD15 came along) was a Fender Tonemaster. Awesome 100w behemoth of a thing. It had an FX loop, but I'll confess, I never used it.

I think it all depends on how much gain you use and the length/intensity of delay you use. So long as I keep my AD15 reasonably cleaning, the delay is fine, but can get a bit messy otherwise.
On my RV50 through the loop, it's absolutely brilliant - regardless of gain or other effects. In front of the RV though it gets messy really quick - I tend to have set with more gain.

Here's my latest incarnation.
This year i added the EP booster and the chorus is finally (i think) the MXR Micro Chorus. Awesome little thing.
From the pedalboard i run into a splitter which sends the signal to my TT and Blues Junior running in parallel.

Do you use the OCD and Tubescreamer together? I've always wondered how that would sound and feel. If anyone has a link to some demos of using multiple overdrives together I'd be grateful. I searched around but didn't find much.

I'll stack the tube screamer and the OCD for leads mostly. Sharp accurate sounding leads on the bridge pickup for the most part. Whenever i want real fat leads on the neck pickup, i'll stack the '69 with the OCD. If i really want to stand out, i will add the EP Booster too. Works fine for me.
Come to think of it... I never use the tube screamer by itself. It's a pedal just use for leads and it always involves another pedal.
TS and EP for example.

Does anyone have experience with Way Huge pedals? My Green Rhino buzzes like crazy when powered through the board. Im waiting on my DC Brick to get in to see if it corrects it.

It's not pretty. Actually it's kind of a mess, but it sounds great. And I really don't need anything but fuzz and delay :)

Still adding a Wah, OD, Trem in a wah encloser, another channel selector and a wah (once I find the one I really want.. Thinking parchute)... The colorsound wah enclosure in the board is a 70s pedal build with a ring mod built in, it's a crazy noise machine... A YouTube video by the old owner exists.

The OD and new wah will be in the main chain, everything else is in a loop, selected by the loop selector bar at the bottom ( first loop is sending direct to a rack tuner I'll have mounted in a box on top of my stack)
