For those running a board into a totally clean amp, what 12AX7 have you found sounds/works best? I'm talking a real pedal board here, not just one or two pedals.
I had popped an EH in V1 on the RV50 when I first got it over a year ago and forgot about it..been concentrating on other things. But I've been noticing how flat and dull things have been sounding so I replaced my 6V6's and only noticed a marginal improvement. Switched out the EH with a TS and it was much, much better.
Anybody else find the EH's kinda bland and lacking sparkle, character?
