Ok, so we know some stuff about one another.... what country we live in... what amps we like... etc etc... anyone here want share some more about themselves? I am not saying to describe what color boxers you wear... just some that will make us more familiar with who we are outside of the " I love orange amps" personality.

Since I started this I will go first I guess... lol

My name is Cedric im 22 years old turning 23, april 8th.. I work in a dental lab right now doing metal work for all those fake things people get put in their mouth by a dentist. I am working on becoming a Luthier and having my own guitar company one day. I am addicted to the computer and my bass... I used to play online games alot but got smart and quit those almost entirely(hey I cant stop it all ok? lol)
I like driving, playing softball, music, music, and more music!! I like makin people laugh... reason why my posts arent always full of cutting edge information, but they might provide a laugh or two!
I have an addiction of buying things Orange lately too. I used to be into hotrod trucks but realized that hobby will get too expensive too fast!( Chris you can vouche for me on that! ) Dunno what else to add... feel free to ask!

Please let me not be the only one who posts this... ill feel like a complete stupid ass!..... not that I needed this thread to prove that lol!

Great idea for a thread Ceddy.

My name's Chris, I'm 24, live in Georgia, was born in Alliance Ohio, and work for CNN Headline News doing live on-air audio right now.

I've been playing guitar for almost 10 years now and my first rig was a Peavey Predetor/strat knockoff through my trusty 1x8, 15 watt, tweed covered, Fender Bronco -- both of which I still have.

I graduated from UGA in December 2003 with a degree in telecommunications and actually used to work for the Weather Channel doing camera on the early morning shift. I love history and political science and took a bunch of graduate level classes in both when I was in school as my electives.

Oh, and by the way -- Athens Georgia is a great town for live bands, the best according to Rolling Stone about two years ago, if you guys or gals ever get a chance to visit.

Other than Orange Amps, Gibson guitars, The Godfather Part II, and early Led Zeppelin, which I collect bootlegs of, of course -- I love cars. In particular, my pride and joy, my 2003 Dark Shadow Grey Mach 1 Mustang that I hit all the car shows with in the spring and fall. American V8s -- there's simply no substitute! Well, not that I'd know anything about exceeding the speed limit, going through the gears, or roasting Goodyears on empty stretches of asphalt!

Your right about restorations being really expensive too Ceddy -- I wanted to restore a 1970 Challenger just like the Vanishing Point car until I found out that I could probably buy a new vette, viper, or porsche for the cost of a decent restoration on anyhting Mopar -- well, except a 1978 Cordoba or a Duster of course. So that will definately have to wait until after I pick up a second ppc 412!

My Name's Jordan, I'm 16. I have two jobs, and am a few months away from graduating high school. I have been playing for a little more than two years, I have a PRS CE24, an Alvarez Yairi, and a Schecter Jerry Horton Signature. I play guitar in the band at my church.
My interests include, Guitar(you guessed it), my Jeep Wrangler, Music(Alternative rock, Hardcore, Blues, Depressing Pop music, and pretty much any and everything that's good). That's about all I can think of. Oh, and I play through a Crate GLX65. That's laughable, I know....

Excellent thread!

I'm Nick. I'm 26, I live in Connecticut. I was shy in grade school. I was a science dork in college and I partied too much. Now I work for an environmental consultant company. I monitor Asbestos and Lead abatements for the State, I do building inspections for mold, indoor air quality, water quality, bacteria, asbestos and lead....and other things too. I like my job, but I hate work.

I play in 2 bands. I only drive cars with manual transmissions. I hang out with my girlfriend. I mess around with tube amps. I hang out with friends on the weekends, and have a few beers when we can. I value time alone. I like learning. I'm moody. I'm superstitious. I'm sentimental. I have wierd theories about things that I like to keep to myself. I respect efficiency and practicality, but don't really practice either in my day to day life. I could go on like this much longer than anyone would care to read...

I'm Joe, 23 in a few months. I live in Nottingham, UK. I've got a degree in Industrial Economics, working on another degree in Corporate Strategy & Governance: hopefully have a job lined up in financial services when I finish that. Interviewing for three different firms at the moment...

I used to love playing rugby until my back died. My one claim to fame was playing at Twickenham and winning a national schoolboy final when 18. Now I love watching rugby, good food, movies, proper beer and good music - whatever it is. I'm very involved with student pastoral work at Trent Vineyard church in my town, a couple of infrequent Christian-related music projects, and a little other band called the Funk Foundation where we do chillout & (surprisingly) funk music.

I have no car, dog, cat, wife or children, just a huge debt from studies. Good Christian women who love the Lord, apply here...

Wow... I'm seeing a common thread so far...

Well, I'm Billy, I'm 49, and I've been playing guitar since 9th grade. Which is a long time..

I went to art college and got a degree in art education. Got a job in a private school teaching art 24 years ago and planned on staying there for a year but now 24 years have gone by... It's been an interesting place to work at times- I've taught three of George Foreman's kids, the son and daughter of the late King Hussein of Jordan, Topher Grace from That 70's Show, Traffic, Ocean's Eleven, and In Good Company, and a whole bunch of other great kids...

I used to love sports cars and owned a 59 Austin Healey Sprite, a 72 Fiat 124 Spyder, a Datsun 260Z and a 280Z, and 2 Mazda RX-7's (best car I ever owned). Now I have a Volvo wagon that all of my gear fits in but I'm jonesing for a car with no roof...

Have played in many bands- played with Johnny A. for a while- and we're trying to finish our CD in my band with Sheryl, who is an ex-girlfriend.

Somewhere along the line I got carried away with owning gear- I think it was after I sold a 64 Melody Maker because I needed the money and sort of vowed not to "have" to sell anything ever again.

No girlfriend right now although I'm looking...

that's about it I think...

Billy

Bikes...used to have a 1993 Ducati 600SS, and a 1996 Ducati 750SS and a 1997 Ducati 900SS (all sold for gear!), cars..starting with a Trabant 601 the real german "platicbomber" over Fiat Cinquencento Sporting to a Renault Twingo (heavy tuning...)... now i drive a smart forfour cdi (140km per day..and diesel is cheaper!)... still in use is my old bandbus, a FORD Transit L (cool camper).

im ken. im 25 years old live in phoenix arizona and ive been playing guitar 11 years. i mostly chill all day and work on music. i find random gigs to make my living. i drive a crappy car, i got a great girlfriend who is getting a phd in music/composition/performance piano. anyways. i got a few projects going musically but one is like a group effort wich is called awesome www.myspace.com/awesome those recordings suck they were pre orange. anyways.

i love music and right now my current most listened to music is muse, refused, ours, bjork, engine down, radiohead, and at the gates.

as far as gear goes i play a gibson les paul 57 reissue historic goldtop and a gibson sg standard, an ad140htc slaved out into the echo return of a or120 with a rivera cab with vintage 30's on one side and a marshall cab on the other. i use an original tubescreamer ts-808 in front of the amps sometimes for a boost.
