Day-um! Played my little brother's Traynor Custom special 50 at a show tonight... absolutely gorgeous! Sparkling, thick clean channel, gritty vintage distortion. Class A, switchable between 15 and 50 watts, with a 12" Celestion V30.

What a deal.

I've been wanting to try that beast out. I love the YCV50, and the YCV40WR was nothing to laugh at either. Traynor make some great stuff for a great price, and the warranty is pretty hard to beat too! :D

... not that it matters if the tone is good!

Wow, Class A. You don't say, that's what makes an amp. [:0];)

But really. Is there any other hype that is as overrated as "Class A"?
I can't think of any.
It's like saying, "My friends car runs on diesel"!

I'm sure that Traynor amp sounds good even in 50 watt Class AB mode as well. :)

lol we are guitar freaks. Spending $$$$$££££ on vintage valve powered gear and analogue 1950's technology. We will fall for anything! Last week the support band asked to use my Rockerverb combo and i let the guy. He was like "oh wow valves etc" then he plugged into my clean channel and used a boss metal zone!! I almost ran on to the stage with a cloth to cover my amp to save it from the shame of people thinking it was producing that horrible angry wasp in a jar sound! just shows u! :D

I was impressed by them as a friend has one. I am equally impressed with the Speaker Cabinets. It does have that nice Class A feature:

1. Is it true Class A?.......No
2. Does it matter?...........No
2. Does it sound good?.......Yes
3. What does it do?..........Makes it sound fuller at lower volumes
4. How?......................Drops the Voltage and Sums the Tube's Values
5. Is this Over-rated........Yes, but it sounds good anyway.

So, who cares?
