I own an OR 120 manufactured in the mid-90s. Supposedly they're not the most desirable, but mine sounds great and has been trouble free since I purchased it. In fact, my local, very reputable, service tech says its the best made Orange amp he's seen. I recently took all my trusty amps into the studio ('73 Marshall JMP 50 watt head, JCM 800 50 watt head & of course my OR 120). I ended up using the Orange on everything. It had the most incredible clean tone with my Les Paul and a better distorted sound than my Marshalls by simply using a Boss DS-1 Distortion pedal (which is also orange, by the way). I highly recommend this combination to anyone searching for tone heaven!

I completely agree with, I bought mine in 1994 and had no trouble since then. I also agree for the sound I play it trough a Ibanez TS 9 pedal + sometimes a Boss RV 3 reverb , Boss DD, and boss compressor sustainer. I'm now waiting for my Bixonic expandora 2.
It seems that we are only two on this forum to own this fabulous amp.

Ditto! Great sounding amp. I passed on a chance to cop an 80/watt Overdrive re-issue several years ago & of course have regretted it very much. The day I demoed that amp I spent more time with it than any Marshall I played that day. I thought it'd be there when I went back for another visit. It was gone & I was very sad. Hang on to that Overdrive you've got. It's a great amp!!

I used to own one of these monsters. Got hard up for money and sold it to a friend...I was supposed to be able to buy it back once I had the money. Went back about a month later. He wouldn't sell it back to me (I can't say that I blame him). Turn this OR120 all the way up and it sounds like a Harley-Davidson thru my LP w/ Iommi pickups <img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle> Killer tone straight out of the box.

I have one of these amps and really man, mine isn't all that loud. I have an AD140 custom shop and it is WAY louder than the OR120. I know there is 20 more watts there, but really it's kinda muddy and not really appealing. I have alot of Orange amps (www.freewebs.com/loudamps) and it just doesn't hold up. The AD140TC is louder too. Oh well, maybe I do have to turn it up more. I can run the AD140 on 3-3.5 and it is plenty loud but I have to run the OR120 at like 6-7 for it to be even close. Still, it's cool....

It's exact, all the power is between 6/7 and 10 but it's pretty loud
