Someone in my area is selling an all original, with orginal case, not modified, very very clean 1959 ES-335.

With original factory installed Bigsby vibrato tailpiece.

Original Gibson PAF PUs.

$3500

Looks like a good deal to me... I wonder what is the market price for those???

Wow, I don't think you realize how lucky you are.
An original Es-335 from '58-'60 is worth a
HUGE amount of money.
I don't think I'm supposed to sate prices, right??

If it's kosher that's an unreal low price - 59 reissue maybe? If not, I would have to tell a private seller he's selling way too cheap (add a zero would be closer). If it was from a business I'd buy it in a heartbeat. That's just me though ;)

I'm looking into it and sent a mail so the seller. BUT, I think it's B.S.

I understand market price for those would be 10X the price he is asking for.

Hmm, yes it certainly looks dodgy to me. For those prices I'll take the 63 strat, 59 LP special and 61 LP/SG custom they've got too.

The seller just responded. He is in the UK and would ship for free after receiving payment. Such a transaction should be done via eBay for added security. Otherwise, it's really really risky. Not a chance I would ever but that.

Even then, you wouldn't be covered for that much $. Did he say where in the UK he was?

Original and authenticated PAF sticker Pickups will fetch more than that each (like a lot more)!

This is a joke, a hoax or someone doesn't know what they are selling. If they don't know what they are selling, how come it says PAF's and Bigsby and all original....

It smells a funny colour to me.

People who buy vintage 50's Gibsons pay experts to authenticate the instruments because the values are huge and you don't fool around with those sort of investments. Now there are still guitars found under the beds of people who don't know what they have and leave them to the grandchildren etc, but that is rare and they wouldn't describe the great features of the guitar in an advert.

You can always go have a look! But never buy expensive guitars without having them in your hands first.
Here we go; three, four...
