im getting my 10-band MXR EQ in the mail either monday or tuesday. although i dont have my TT yet so i cant really give you a review with a TT, ive thought of using it for the same too. it could pretty much be a boost, or clean, or a weaker overdrive sound. if i remember hopefully, ill give a little "review" of it and tell you if it could be a "clean switch"

Well it's worth the $39.95 I paid for it, but I'm looking for an EQ to use instead. LPB-1 doesn't seem to boost much even when all the way up and it changes your tone when it's on. I think an EQ to boost the mids is more what I want.
hmm maybe i should go with an EQ pedal then... instead of just a clean boost.
thanks guys

That's what I'm thinking as it seems like most boost pedals don't appear to have much boost when an amp is already running dirty. Boosting a clean amp is a different story. I am looking for something to use as a lead boost.
Sorry to hijack, but what would most of you go with regardless of cost:
MXR 10band or Boss GE-7?

i've owned both
MXR all the way
besides the greater control,
it just sounds a good bit better overall
and on the nice to have side
the bands are all lit up on the mxr,
which is sweet on a dark stage
