Well I do of course!!!! Last night I picked up this never played 2007 LP Classic Gold Top from the owner at my local music store. It was his own personal guitar (he has well over 30 and many vintage pieces). he never once played it and offered it to me for $1500 I have given him alot of business and he repayed me in kind I would say....

In any case, the guitar is flawless and one of the nicest gibby's I have picked up really......not a flaw on it I can find. No buzzing frets, no dead frets, not a mark. The pick ups are very hot but I like them!!! They really sound very different from my Elitist LP (490/498 pups). The guitar is very stable with no nut issues and holds its tune very well.

Set up wise it is pretty good out of the box but I am eventually bringing it to my favorite luthier for a set up. The action is just a tad higher than I like, I will put my GHS boomers on it and have it re-intonated, etc. the A and D strings are ever so slightly sharp when i check the intonation but that is probably attributed to the old strings....

Bottom line is this things kicks all kinda arse and it is my first Gibby so I am stoked!

Nice one! That's a good price for that guitar...

When you're doing a set-up, check the height of the strings at the nut. Mine needed some real attention as it was too high and affected the intonation...

I love the 1960 classic line of Les Pauls..I think they might be the best bang for the buck next to the BFG models..good luck with it..

Lovely guitar, I'd love a Gold Top LP. One of the finest looks for a LP I think.

Congrats on the great deal on a beautiful guitar. Goldtops are very nice and always maintain the classic look and style.

thats awesome man. A guy at a local music shop is offering me a gibson les paul custom classic (the all black finish with gold hardware) for $2000, and i might just have to go for it.
