Combo.
It's cheaper and then you can always get an extension cab for that cab + head sound in addition to the open-backed one.

Mmm... I don't like perching a head on top of just a 2x12... it seems mis-sized! Gotta have a 4x12 at least. If you have a combo that you can lean your axe against, you can perch on the corner of it and wail away in that, "i'm a blues maestro" kind of image.
