...found an ok deal on this guitar, and wanted to get this one instead of the Weber kit, as I was worried the deal wouldn't be around forever.

$605 after shipping. Not too bad, considering it comes with its own hardshell case. Will give review when it comes in.

I had a Artcore and it was alright. I wasnt the biggest fan. It didnt hold tune very well. Also, the pickups in it werent that great. I had one a step down form there. Mine was about $500. It lsted in the collection for about a month. Decided that fixing it into a proper guitar would cost about $300-400 more. Decided to return it and ended up with my 335. I am very happy with my switch. Hopefully yours is better than mine was.

From what I've read from people that like it, they're saying they get very ES-335 tones out of this one, the Custom. I'm hoping it'll be something fun. My wife asked me "so how long will this one stay around, a few weeks?" :p We'll see. I was thinking of putting a bigsby trem on it, that would be the bee's knees.

Agreed, I had one as well.

You NEED to replace the tuning heads because they go out of tune easily. Sounded fantastic though and I had it before I knew you could replace tuning heads.

Is that an AS-103? I've read a couple of good reviews about it. It's a bit brighter than a 335 apparently, thanks to all the maple. It looks fantastic though!

Here's to hoping. I've read a lot of stuff about 'em, asked the guy I talked to at Guitar Center about 'em when they had 'em in and he said he really liked them, that they were top notch.

Congratulations. My Dad has one of these, and I almost bought one. When I tried it out, I A/B'd it with a real ES-335, and I kid you not, tone-wise there was nothing in it. Build/finish quality-wise the Ibanez was better ... Dan's right about the tuners though ... Gibson tuners were no better. Considering the ES-335 was 3 times the price, there was no contest, unless you HAVE to have a Gibson.

Haha, no, no, sorry, I mean, I asked a guy the other day, and they haven't had them in for a year or so now, so he wasn't just trying to sell me one.

Actually, I applaud Guitar Center: I walked in to return the Super Champ XD, and within 5 minutes, I was walking out the door with all my money back, really hassle free.

I'm really happy to hear that. I've never owned a hollow body jazz box, or anything like it (a semi-hollow, etc), so I'm hoping it'll be a fun new way to get some inspiring tones. I'm looking forward to the feedback that I see some guys getting, very controlled, musical, woody feed back tones.

Thanks Scott, me too. From what I've read, and I read a lot of different reviews from a lot of different sites, and looked at as many up-and-personal pictures of the guitar, fretwork, neck, etc that I could, I think it'll be a really top notch guitar.

I actually liked the workmanship and the sound of that model quite a bit. A great alternative to spending a few thousand on a Gibby
