Hi,
I'm looking to change my Peavey Blazer to something with more guts!!
I play all kinds of music but mostly classic rock. I only play at home as I'm not good enough to perform live yet!!
Is the AD30 suitable for what I'm after?? How much would I expect to pay for one in the UK?? What advantages would I get going for a 4 speaker cab rather than a 2???
Thanks for any help

Well Andrew, You are definately on the right track. The AD 30 Will definately put some serious cahones on your guitar. It is a perfect amp for classic rock blues or really anything else you can throw at it. However if you are playing at home you may want to check out the AD15/12 depending on the amount of sound you want to achieve. These amps run in class A (full plate voltage all the time) making the 15(AD15) or 30(AD30) rated watts a rather low rating. There are different advantages to different speaker cabinets. A 4 speaker cabinet "moves more air" than a 2 speaker or single speaker cabinet. This means that the amount of sound that can be produced will be substantially greater with the 4x12. But the most important thing to do would be to try out everything you can to see how it sounds for your self! Every component in your sound is important from type of speakers to the tubes in your amp. For the most part besides the physics of sound tone is subjective, only you can deside what sounds best. Personally I think the orange would be a perfect fit for you and it's definatly worth it but do try it for yourself and remember you get what you pay for. Happy Hunting.

I stand corrected, SOONER I still believe he will enjoy the extended bass response from a 4x12 closed back cab even though the AD 30 certainly has more guts and a response than the Peavy Blazer as is.
I think the 2 vintage 30's will handle anything that amp will throw out and should put out considerable volume.
Bottom line dieselpower is still try it out for your self
