Best choice? Other alternatives?
What I would like:
- batterie powered
- Very small
- as simple as possible
- the only options I would really like is a reverb and full chromatic tuner

I have played both and the micro crush has an impressive sound for what it is....hard to say...the roland defo has more functionality....actually I'd have to go for the roland in this case.

The micro crush fits that description as well.

I'd go for the Micro Cube. Obviously the amp models are fairly generic but they get the point across. Just a solid little practice amp and easy on the wallet too.

My micro cube has turned a lot of heads. People have marveled at the tone when I take it with to test a new axe. Funny.
tune it or die

IMO, the Crush is really more of a novelty. The Roland has superior sound/versatility, as well as being a much more solid piece of hardware (ie it won't break if you look at it wrong). I would say if you want a "real" practice amp, go with the Roland. However, it IS more than twice as expensive.
Me, I'd probably buy a Micro Crush if i had an extra 50 bucks, just cos it's Orange
